Royal HaskoningDHV is recruiting a talented Business Intelligence Reporting analyst to support the execution of its data analytics and reporting strategy, who can translate data into insightful and actionable dashboards.

What you will do as a Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst

We are looking for someone to strengthen our analytics team. Together with other team members, you are responsible for building and maintaining the reports on our corporate BI platform. We are currently transferring our BI platform from Tableau to PowerBI. Some of the key responsibilities you will have include:

  • Translating reporting requests into actionable dashboards which support key decision making and companywide KPI monitoring;
  • Designing new reporting solutions together with your data analytics colleagues;
  • Proactively communicating during design and development of dashboards with stakeholders within the company;
  • Active involvement in our quality assurance process by critically reviewing existing reports, documenting new and existing reports and optimizing our way of working;
  • Give functional support to our business and corporate colleagues developing their own dashboards.

The position report to the team lead of the Analytics team and is part of the overall Finance Business Control & Analytics team.

Our corporate analytics team (6 people) reports directly to the Director Business Control. Our work supports all corporate support groups by providing data-driven analyses and reporting, and by supporting their digital and data-centered transformations. Our team is ultimately responsible for all corporate-wide reporting and analytical needs, as well as providing support for business-driven client reporting. 

What you bring

You have a passion for translating data into insights through visual reporting and let data speak through a reporting storyline. You understand financial- and business-drivers, can translate these into reports that support key-decision making, and constantly look for things to improve. You are a real team player, but when needed can function independently. Furthermore, you have:

  • An academic (WO-level) or higher educational (HBO-level) degree in the field of business administration, management sciences, or another relevant field of expertise
  • Proficiency with business intelligence software such as PowerBI (preferred), Tableau or Qlick is a big plus
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • “Can do” mentality, proactive and full of energy & drive
  • Fluency in English is required, knowledge of Dutch is a plus
