Coordinator International Sustainable Mobility Business

Where you will work

You will be part of our Sustainable Mobility Team. A team of more than 170 enthusiastic people with a passion for traffic engineering, mobility management, road safety, traffic systems and models. We are trend setting and front runner in het market of sustainable mobility. Together with colleagues of other Teams you will work on international multi-disciplinary projects all over the world.

Sustainable mobility is in the strategy of Royal HaskoningDHV earmarked as a ‘global leading market’ which means we want to speed up this domain, not only in the Netherlands but also abroad. With our colleagues in the UK and South Africa we are expanding our business all over the globe. With our top expertise in cycling, road safety, traffic management and public transport we are executing dozens of projects, mainly in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

In order to improve our success internationally we are looking for a Coordinator / Business developer who can bring added value by strategic market intelligence, network (capabilities) and has the commercial skills to select right opportunities. Someone who brings winning teams together (internally and externally) and steer proposal and project teams to successes.

What you will do

In this role, you will focus on coordinating international business opportunities (50% of your time). In a core ‘coordinator team’ of 3 colleagues you are responsible for:

• Initiating, coordinating, and executing marketing and sales activities, based the strategy of the Global Leading Market Sustainable Mobility
• Liaising with international clients, select tenders for, advice on bid/ no bid, lead and facilitate the proposal teams, propose strategic alliances.
• Monitor, evaluate and adapt the progress on the execution on our strategy.

Furthermore, you will work on (international) projects (50% of your time):

• As a project manager/project director steering the team members, project meetings with client and partners, control the project.
• As an expert/consultant deliver contributions on (preferably international) projects

What you bring

• Masters in Transport Planning or relevant subject
• At least 10 years relevant international project management experience in the domain of transport and master planning, traffic engineering, sustainable mobility, public transport, traffic management and road safety.
• Proven international commercial and business development experience.
• Strong communication skills via phone and email (English fluent, other languages such as Dutch, Arabic, German, and French are recommended).
• Located either in the Netherlands or in the UK.
