What You Will Do as a Director of Brand, Marketing, and Communications

As Corporate Director Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) you are leading our company-wide initiatives on brand and communications. You also enable the success of marketing and sales in our organisation by providing clear guidance to support the decentral marketing teams and by ensuring state-of-the-art channels and marketing technology platforms.

As Corporate Director BMC you foster collaboration, take onboard the needs of your internal stakeholders to inform and drive global strategies that grow the success of our company.

You report to and advise the Executive Board, engaging at the highest levels while building and managing a strong, multicultural team. Your role will include:

Brand: Own, lead and protect the brand architecture and strategy, grow brand awareness (esp. outside NL), positioning, and the reputation of our company. Work closely together with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, provide guidance and ensure alignment.

Marketing: Own, lead and build the marketing technology stack that enables the marketing teams and the corporate team to manage, execute, measure and improve their efforts. Collaborate with the marketing teams to understand their needs and campaigns and provide clear guidelines to ensure alignment with the company’s brand and positioning. Own the global strategic vision for sales enablement. Lead the enabling of commercial practices and development of sales tools for the business. Advise and support the Executive Board and business with market intelligence and research.

Communications: Develop and execute internal and external communications strategies connected to employee engagement, and promoting and protecting the brand. Collaborate with other corporate teams and business teams on strategic internal projects, deliverables like the annual report and other corporate literature, and CSRD compliance.

Where You Will Work

This is a full-time global role, meaning you will work with diverse teams across various regions. You will collaborate closely with business lines, the Executive Board, and external agencies to ensure alignment of global strategies. Your work environment will be dynamic and fast-paced, requiring frequent interaction with stakeholders at all levels in our organization.
You are based in the Netherlands and able to travel abroad to suit the requirements of the job.

What Do You Bring?

You bring a clear vision and strategic view on how brand, marketing and communications can make our company thrive. You know how to inspire, lead, and empower a successful team of professionals and stakeholders. Your qualifications include:

  • Extensive Experience: At least 10 years of senior working experience in brand, communications, marketing and sales in international B2B and/or B2G consulting organizations.
  • Educational Background: Preferably a master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent working experience. Accreditation and/or chartership with a recognized professional body (e.g., Chartered Institute of Marketing, NIMA) is preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Ability to inspire, motivate, and influence others towards a unified vision and agreed objectives and stand by them. Committed to professional and personal development of the team and a safe working environment. Experienced in working with cross-functional teams in the business.
