What will you do as a Controller: Corporate Groups

You collaborate in the daily (financial) running, as well as in the strategic and tactical processes for our Corporate Groups. Corporate Groups include all the corporate support staff divisions of our organization, such as HRM, Legal, Facilities and Strategy.

As part of the Finance function, you will advocate for compliant and accurate operations and reporting. You will be the financial conscience of the Corporate Groups and a sparring partner to the Corporate Group Directors. Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Act as a business partner of Corporate Group Management, and of their respective project managers
  • Assist Corporate Group management in (financial) decision making
  • Lead the budget and forecasting processes in the Corporate Groups
  • Participate in business cases and bring in (financial) knowledge to jointly agree on the best way forward
  • Be the go-to Financial for initiatives and projects that the Corporate Groups needs to execute
  • Drive continuous improvement by encouraging management and stakeholders to improve and innovate processes and organization
  • Pro-actively analyze financials results and advise management

 

You will be working mostly alongside the Corporate Groups and determine your own priorities. We expect and stimulate you to be independent, and capable of driving initiatives. You will be part of the Global Finance Community and share best practices and learnings and co-operate with your financial peers.

Where you will work

Within Finance at Royal HaskoningDHV, we have more than 200 Finance professionals active in different countries, divided over business -  and financial control. We are a self-learning team and continuously optimize our operations to supply the best financial support to our stakeholders and ensure compliance with external – and internal regulations.

What you bring

With your understanding of the finance & management control discipline and underlying principles, you have the capability to apply these in daily practice. Besides that, you have: 

  • Relevant HBO/BSc/MSc (Business) Economics or Management accounting degree (or related)
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of related disciplines (data analytics, IT and risk management)
  • Good communication (both verbal & written) in English
    • Dutch is not essential but a plus to have

  • You are a strong business partner that has demonstrated strong analytical, influencing, commercially savvy and forward-looking skills.
  • You work in an accurate and efficientmanner and have a pro-active approach to problem solving.
