Our clients face complex investment decisions. In a world full of uncertainty, they need to look ahead and anticipate future needs of their business today. You can make a difference with your insights and bring the facts to the table to enable our clients to make the best decisions. So, are you a driven, analytic, and people-oriented consultant? Join our global team!

What you will do as an Investment Analyst

As an Investment Analyst, you will work on projects linked to sustainable infrastructure development. Your prime focus will be on projects in the maritime sector, but you may also work on logistics, road/rail infrastructure, energy transition or climate resilience projects. These projects can vary from greenfield development, expansion, or relocation to due diligence. In most cases, you are part of a multidisciplinary team of experts.

Your role in projects:

  • You develop business cases to assess the financial viability of investment projects and evaluate different design options of the project and the robustness of the conclusions under different external scenarios.
  • You optimise the financial structure of the project from the perspective of investors and financiers.
  • You analyse the contribution of the project to the welfare of society as a whole in a cost benefit analysis, taking into account the impact a project has on its users, the environment, and the economy.

Depending on your experience, you can grow further by sharing your knowledge, taking more responsibility in projects, and providing more strategic advice to our clients. You will also be invited to develop your personal learning development plan, making use of the offered training courses. As part of our economists’ team, you will play an important role in the further development of our global leading markets: maritime and climate resilience.

At Royal HaskoningDHV, we aim to be the trusted partner for climate resilience and maritime services and solutions focused on business impact on client organizations. We integrate our consultancy, software and data offerings, focusing on both public and private clients, around the world and at a global scale. Depending on your experience and skill set, the exact portfolio of your tasks will be agreed upon.

Where you will work

In the market, you can also find us working under our brand name “Ocean Shipping Consultants”. We support our customers by providing insight into the development of their market and assets. We offer our knowledge when they are faced with investment decisions or enter into a transaction to acquire or dispose of an interest in assets in this sector.

Our services therefore consist of business cases, socio-economic cost-benefit analyses, market studies, commercial due diligence support, and strategy consultancy. The knowledge and experience in this group is also used for projects in other business lines within Royal HaskoningDHV, such as in the field of industry, mobility, water, and rail/road infrastructure.
