What you do as Junior Airport Systems Consultant

Whether you are working on the upgrade of an existing local airport or working on a brand-new international hub, no project will be the same. Every day you can broaden your knowledge.

As a Junior Special Airport Systems (SAS) Consultant you will have the possibility to travel the world, developing world-class engineering solutions across a range of systems which could include:

  • Passive ICT Infrastructure
  • Active ICT Systems
  • Passenger & Baggage Processing Systems
  • Security Systems
  • Airside Systems
  • Airport Information System

You have recently graduated with a relevant Bachelor or Master in science with a keen interest in the diverse IT-systems and operational processes of airports. The work is complex, diverse, working for a variety of international clients, with different needs and deliverables. The types of project assignments you can expect to work on could cover the below, in relation to the engineering solutions you work on.

  • Technical Design, including production of system drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Master Planning
  • Feasibility Studies
  • Implementation Strategies
  • Design reviews and assessments
  • Technology research projects

About the team

As JuniorSpecial Airport Systems Consultant you will become part of the Business Unit Aviation. This is one of the smaller and more intimate units and consists of our worldwide renown consultancy brand NACO. A world-leading airport consultancy and engineering firm with over 70 years’ experience working in the aviation and air transport industry – from major landmark designs to smaller regional airports.

Our highly motivated team works closely together with InterVISTAS, former part of Royal HaskoningDHV, to deliver full spectrum, integrated engineering-, strategic- and management consultancy services related to airport and aviation development all over the globe. We run our aviation business from our “head office” in The Hague, in The Netherlands supported by our offices in Canada, United States and South Africa.

What you bring

Working in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams spread across different countries is no problem for you. Besides that, you:

  • Have a Bachelor or Master in science (IT, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or similar) with 0 – 3 years experience
  • Are a team player, self-starter with a collaborative mindset.
  • Have a technical background or interest in some of the following areas: Passive ICT Infrastructure, Active ICT Systems, Passenger & Baggage Processing Systems, Security Systems.
  • Have the following preferred Skills: Able to read technical drawings and develop design options, experience in building design and construction projects, design thinking skills.
  • Have an interestfor aviation and aviation processes
  • Have a strong affinity with technology, IT systems and innovation
  • Are fluent in English
  • Are willing to travel internationally occasionally;
