We are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer for a project we are executing for a big multinational client.

The project will start in July 2023 and will end in December 2023. The project is in FEL3/ FEED/ Basic Engineering phase. Most likely, extension of the project period is required. The project is executed at our office in Eindhoven.

What you do as a Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer

As Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer you are responsible for specifying static and rotating process equipment. Together with the process engineers you development equipment datasheets. Moreover equipment specifications need to be made, as well as technical meeting with suppliers and a technical bid evaluation.

Most equipment is standard equipment such as tanks, vessels, pumps, filters and S&T heat exchangers.

The responsibilities of the function are:

  • In consultation with the client and your colleagues, you ensure a good, safe and complete mechanical spec of process equipment;
  • Under your leadership and based on your knowledge and experience, equipment datasheets, equipment specifications, technical bid evaluations and vendor clarification meetings are executed;
  • You align with the piping engineers for a good equipment layout and 3D design;
  • Provide technical contribution to a team of process and mechanical related disciplines engineers;
  • You are able to bring alternative solutions;
  • You have contact with contractors and suppliers, assessing offers.

What you bring

  • Relevant bachelor/master degree in Mechanical engineering or similar;
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a technical role in multidisciplinary teams within an engineering company;
  • Knowledge and experience in specifying equipment according to European norms and design codes such as DIN/ EN;
  • Knowledge of PED, WBDA, KVI;
  • Knowledge of and experience with Autodesk Plant3D is an advantage;
  • Feels at home in an international working environment;
  • An enterprising, proactive and flexible attitude;
  • A team player, willing to take responsibility;
  • Good communication skills and command of the Dutch and English language;
  • You are able to build a sustainable relationships with our clients.
