What you will do as a Customer Experience Intern

As a Customer Experience Intern at Royal HaskoningDHV, your main responsibilities will be centred around conducting research and creating content in the field of Customer Experience. You will:

  • Conduct Research: Deep dive into CX, exploring recent market developments, trends, and best practices. Define your specific research question(s) in CX, preferably in a business-to-business setting and your approach to answer these questions.
  • Create Content: Develop compelling, informative content that reflects your research findings and the team's insights, co-write with team members, and deliver publishable content.

In addition to these key responsibilities, you will also:

  • Develop Case Studies: Craft detailed case studies of past projects to highlight the team's accomplishments and learnings.
  • Work on a CX Maturity Scan: Develop a CX Maturity Scan tailored to our clients, contributing to a strategic tool for assessment and improvement.
  • Support Ongoing Projects: Help in ongoing projects as required, offering hands-on experience in real-world CX consulting projects.
  • Prepare for Team Meetings: Assist in organizing and preparing for team meetings, ensuring efficient and productive discussions. Or volunteer as the chief happiness officer of the team and plan the team outing.
  • Engage in CX Discussions: Actively participate in team discussions about new developments in CX, sharing insights and learning from experienced professionals.

About the team

Royal HaskoningDHV is a worldwide independent engineering, project management and consultancy firm which integrates 140 years of engineering expertise with digital technologies and software solutions. You will become part of the customer experience team within Digital Consultancy (Novius). It is a relatively small – and young – team eager to show the value of customer experience management in the world of engineering and construction. We are led by Marije Teerling, leading professional experience management. She has well over 20 years of experience in science, consulting, and business in the field of CX. She will be your daily supervisor and support you in becoming a CX expert.

What you will bring

We ask the following ‘soft skills’ from you.

  • Analytical thinking. Ability to analyze and synthesize information from various sources to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Skilled in creative content creation and idea generation for engaging CX strategies.
  • Communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effectively presenting research findings and content.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to group discussions and projects.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing principles, customer journey mapping, and B2B market dynamics.

Besides that, we expect the following to apply to you:

  • Educational Level: Currently enrolled in the third or fourth year of a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Media, Industrial Design, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

You will be fully part of the team and as such you are invited to participate in all team activities both project related and social activities. You will also receive a monthly allowance.
