At Royal HaskoningDHV, we’re not just looking for an expert - we’re seeking a visionary. With over ten years of experience in climate resilience projects, you’ve seen firsthand the impact of climate change on our world. Now, we’re offering the opportunity to use that knowledge to make a real difference as a Senior Climate Resilience Consultant.
In this role, you are advising our clients on climate risk and adaptation, and you’ll be at the forefront of our mission to enhance society together. You’ll work with a dynamic, motivated team to tackle today’s most pressing climate challenges, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Your expertise in climate risk assessments and adaptation projects will be invaluable as you help our clients understand and mitigate their climate risks.
For this vacancy speaking B2 level Dutch is not a requirement but we are looking for a candidate who lives in the Netherlands.
Our projects range from doing climate (multi-) hazard and risk assessments to the consultancy on and design of adaptation measures. We do this for assets such as ports, roads, railways and industrial sites, but also on a regional or national scale. We work for both public and private clients as well as for big IFI funded projects globally.
Our assessments go beyond the direct, physical impact of climate hazards, by for example integrating business interruption and cascade effects for indirect impacts, or account for social vulnerability to assess intangible impacts. The outcome of the climate risk assessments subsequently feeds into the development and economic evaluation of climate adaptation strategies or pathways. We strive to continuously develop our methods and tools to better support our clients. With your strong advisory skills, you will work together with other experts in global and multidisciplinary teams on our diverse projects.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:
